Koenig, Doris A.
nee Zastrow Left this earthly life to be with her savior Jesus Christ and see her beloved husband Jim, many relatives, and friends on May 13, 2011, at the age of 86 years. She is preceded in death by her parents Harry and Meta nee Kuhn and her younger brother William “Bill”. Survived by her 3 treasured children James E. former daughter in-law Peggy Koenig, Diane Jerry Sutton, and Alan Koenig. Caring grandma of Michelle Jason Miklosh, Jonah Frances Sutton, Dan Sutton, Sara Ryan Cortese, and Lisa Koenig. Also in her heart, her great-grandchildren, “little guys”, Isaiah, Noah Miklosh, Caitlyn Cortese, and Aubrey Sutton. Sister of Lorain late Gordon Dewers. Also survived by nieces, nephews, close friends and other relatives.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, from 9 – 10:30 AM, at BLESSED SAVIOR LUTHERAN CHURCH, 15250 W. Cleveland. Funeral Service will follow at 10:30 AM. Interment at Graceland Cemetery.

Doris was a long time resident of West Allis, attended Rufus King High School, worked for WI Bell as a teenager, and retired from AT&T. She enjoyed her job as a long distance operator and the people she worked with. Doris was a previous, long time, member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in West Allis and a current member of Blessed Savior Church in New Berlin. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Belssed Savior Church appreciated.
