Hartwick, Dorothy E. (nee Weile) (Stade)
Passed away at home surrounded by the love and warmth of her family on October 16, 2016 at the age of 90. Loving wife of Eugene for 46 years. Devoted mother of Donna Stade. Preceded in death by grandson Joseph Lucas. Proud grandmother of Jodi (Richie Marek) and Vicky Lucas. Loving great-grandmother of Hailey, Joseph, Autumn, Ayden, Angelica, Abel, and Gadi. Survived by step daughter Derse Hartwick (Ken Stewart) and other family members and many friends.
Dorothy was a member of Jackson Park Lutheran Church for 46 years. She was a member of the women of the ELCA and participated in the prayer chain. Dorothy participated in the many Shreiners Provost unit activities, which her husband, Eugene is a member of. They bowled and golfed with the Jackson Park Couples Club and the Shreiners Provost unit. They had the wonderful opportunity to take five cruises with their very close and dear friends. She will be dearly missed by all. Dorothy will finally be reunited with her dearly missed, beloved grandson, Joey.
I want to take this opportunity to thank the Horizon Home Care and Hospice for their compassion and comfort to Dorothy and our family. In lieu of flowers, donations to Jackson Park Lutheran Church would be greatly appreciated. Visitation will be held Thursday from 12PM-3PM at JACKSON PARK LUTHERAN CHURCH (4535 W. Oklahoma Ave.) followed by a service at 3PM. Interment Fri. at 11AM at Wisconisn Memorial Park Cemetery (Meet at Cemetery).
