DeMoss, Dorothy Florence, age 94, passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2019. Dorothy was born in Stevens Point WI to the late Frank and Mary (Raschka) Boushley. Following high school graduation, she was employed by the Tucker Camera Shop, which led to meeting her future husband, B.A. (Mike) DeMoss, a Pearl Harbor survivor, and career Navy veteran of WWII. After their marriage in 1948, they were stationed throughout the United States during Mike’s military career. After Mike’s retirement from the Navy in 1959, Dorothy worked to help support the family while Mike went to college. Following his graduation, they lived throughout the state of Wisconsin during his employment with the WI Dept. Of Industry, Labor, & Human Relations, ending in Stevens Point where they retired. Mike passed away in 2000, following 52 years of marriage. Dorothy moved to New Berlin to live at the Regency in 2005, and then to LindenGrove in 2015. Throughout her lifetime she enjoyed embroidering tablecloths and other handiwork along with sewing and quilting in her younger years.
She was the dear mother of Mike (Laurie) DeMoss, and the loving grandmother of Jenessa (Chris) Nawrocki, Mark (Crystal) DeMoss, and David DeMoss. She was the treasured great-grandmother of Sylvia Mae Nawrocki. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her four siblings, William (Daisy) Boushley, Gertrude Melia, Frank Boushley and Raymond Boushley. She is survived by two sisters-in-law, Mary (the late Frank) Boushley and Frances (the late Raymond) Boushley, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held at Holy Apostles Church (16000) W National Ave, New Berlin) Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 1 pm until Mass of Christian Burial starting at 1:30 pm.
