On Thursday Feb.18, 2016 ,the Lord called home to heaven’s eternal glory, Dorothy Helen Tischendorf Jutrzonka. By God’s grace Dorothy reached the age of 98 years. Dorothy was born on March 30, 1917 in Oak Creek, WI to Harry and Anna (nee Dogs) Tischendorf. She was baptized on May 6, 1917 and confirmed on May 16, 1930 at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church by Rev. Martin Plass. Throughout her life, Dorothy continued to honor God by attending worship services faithfully and being a regular guest at Holy Communion.
On August 22, 1962 , she married William Jutrzonka. Dorothy lived in Kansasville for 20 years. In 1986 she moved back to Oak Creek. Dorothy worked at Southern Center in Union Grove with handicapped people. She worked three years as an aide and 26 years as a foster grandparent for the center. Dorothy was a member of the quilting group at church and volunteered at the WELS Thriftshop.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, William: parents, Harry and Anna Tischendorf: sister Helen: and brothers Alfred and Clarence. She leaves to mourn a sister Ruth Jutrzonka; stepson Robert Jutrzonka and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tues., Feb. 23, 2016 at the FUNERAL HOME from 10am until the time of service at Noon. The Rev Dale Reckzin officiating. Entombment to follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
