Of Union Grove. Nee Ludwig May 8, 2009, Age 88. Beloved wife of the late Frank. Loving mother of Thomas and the late Eugene. Dear Aunt of Alfred Brauch, David Rhonda and Robert Margaret Smerchek. Grandmother of Nicole Smerchek. Sister of the late LaVerne the late Mel Brauch. Sister in law of Ruth Anzalone. Also survived by grand-nieces Meri Smerchek and Liz Arturo Lorant, other relatives and friends.
Visitation Wednesday, 10-11 AM at NORTH CAPE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2644 124th St, Hwy 45 & W. 5 Mile Rd, with Funeral Service at 11 AM. Interment North Cape Church Cemetery.
Dorothy was born April 6, 1921 to Alfred and Ann Nee Dahl Ludwig in Union Grove Dover, WI. She graduated from Union Grove High School, Kenosha Racine Teachers College, and Whitewater State Teachers College. She Married Frank Smerchek on June 19, 1948. She taught elementary and special education classes in Racine County. Lifetime member of North Cape Lutheran Church.
