Schlaikowski, Dorothy M. (nee Schuh)
Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 age 86 years after suffering many years with Alzheimers. Devoted wife of the late John “Ronnie”. Loving mother of Mary ( the late Paul) Rusch, Gail (the late Thomas) Werowinski, Jeannie (Timothy) Schultz, John M. (Ann Marie), David (Donna) and Julie Schlaikowski. Sister of Helen (the late Milt) Vraney, Norbie (Jan) Schuh, Seb (Karen) Schuh, Vonnie (the late Gene) Evenson, Bill (Kathy) Schuh. Proud grandmother of 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, brothers and sister. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation Monday, November 23 from 4 – 6:45 PM at ST. MARYS CATHOLIC FAITH COMMUNITY, 9520 W. Forest Home Avenue. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 7:00 PM. Entombment Tuesday, November 24 at 9:30 AM to process from the funeral home to Mount Olivet Cemetery for prayers at 10:30 AM.
Dorothy gave many years of service at St. Mary’s Parish, she was a volunteer at Boerner Botanical Gardens and led garden walks. She retired from Marine Bank, loved gardening, camping, sewing and quilting. A special thanks to the staff of both Layton Terrace and Vitas Hospice for their loving care. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association appreciated.
