Dorothy Spencer

Dorothy Spencer (Nee Smolarek) age 101 passed away December 24, 2014 in Milwaukee. Daughter of the late Frank (Francisgka) Smolarek and Mary Agnes (Minta), she was born in 1913 in Wisconsin Rapids where she graduated from the Commercial Course at Lincoln High School, Wisconsin Rapids in 1930. After moving to Milwaukee, Dorothy retired from Universal Foods as a bookkeeper. She is preceded in death by daughter Mary Elizabeth Barry, sister Helen (Bruno) Venz, brothers Leo(n) (Ruby) Smolarek, Henry Smolarek, sister Margaret (George) Dornbach, and nephew Robert Smolarek. Survivors include her granddaughter Elizabeth (Richard) Ruderman, great-grandsons Aaron and Barry Ruderman, niece Bobbie (Ed) Sechovec, nephews James (Karen) Smolarek, John Thomas (Veronica) Smolarek, niece Mary (Robert) Smolarek and son-in-law Dr. Peter Barry. Private service and internment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
