Drost, Dr. Walter H.
Passed away Sunday May 17, 2009 age 84 years. Cousin of Robert Haberstroh and his sons Mark and Oliver Haberstroh all of Germany. Also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation Tuesday May 26, 9:30 – 10:30 AM at NAIN EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1665 S. 57 St. followed by the funeral service at 10:30 AM. Interment at Forest Home Cemetery.
Dr. Drost had a love for Christian education. He served on the first faculty at Wisconsin Lutheran High School, helped develop Wisconsin Lutheran Teachers College, and was instrumental in the founding of Wisconsin Lutheran College. He was also an instructor at the University of Wisconsin, Valparaiso University, and Northern Illinois University. In lieu of flowers memorials to Wisconsin Lutheran High School appreciated.
