Aimers, Duane Richard,
Called home to the Lord on Wednesday November 21, 2018 at his home in Milwaukee, at the age of 77yrs. The son of the late Richard and Audrae (Phelps) Aimers. Born June 25, 1941 in Beloit, WI. Previously married to Marie Ann DeGrave July 13, 1963 in Green Bay WI. Married for 20 years, together they had a loving relationship, raised two children and remained friends.
Duane had a wide variety of interests including, running for City Council in Beloit, owner of Quik-N-Save Gas Station. His favorite endeavor was working at WGEZ 1490 as a Radio Disc Jockey to help get awareness out about Alpha -1 Disease, from which he had suffered and to share his love for music.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Craig and Corey Aimers, daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Gary Edwards. He is further survived by 6 grandchildren, Nicole Nass, Justin Nass, Jennifer Aimers, Amanda Aimers, Cassandra Aimers, Desiree Aimers. 4 great-grandchildren Chole, Caidence, AJ and Brayden. 1 sister Daun Aimers, and 1 brother Dennis Aimers; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by 1 sister Susan, 2 brothers Paul and Richard, 1 grandchild Ryan. Duane will be fondly remembered by his family and friends.
A memorial visitation will take place on Wednesday November 28, 2018 at ST. JOHN’S EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 10302 So. 27th St. in Oak Creek, WI from 10AM until the time of service at 12PM. The Rev. Dale Reckzin officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorials to Alpha -1 Foundation appreciated.
