Entered into eternal glory on Wednesday, November 15th, 2017, at the age of 98. Husband of the late G. Joan (nee Lahr) of 51 years and the late Frances (nee Willage) of 12 years. Earl was also preceded in death by a sister, Marion (Melchert), and two brothers, Harvey and Ray. Survived by nephew David H. (C.J.) Hackmann. Further survived by stepchildren, Donna, Lori, Michelle, Lisa, Stanley, John, and other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, November 19th at ST. JACOBI EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 8605 W. Forest Home Ave, from 2-3PM, followed by memorial service at 3PM. Interment Smoky Mountain Memorial Gardens in Pigeon Forge, TN.
Earl proudly served in the US Army Air Corps and was stationed in London during WWII, where he met his first wife, G. Joan, and was married on September 3rd, 1945. After the passing of G. Joan, Earl married his second wife, Frances, on April 18th, 1998. Earl spent more than 20 years as a dairy farmer in Appleton, WI prior to receiving his LPN license and working at Theda Clark Memorial Hospital in Neenah, WI.
