Earl James Stephenson of Franksville, age 88, embraced by his loving and devoted family, was called by his Lord and peacefully passed on to be with Him on Monday, December 5, 2005 at his home. Earl was born to James and Florence Nelson Stephenson on January 28, 1917, on the family farm in Norway Township, WI where he lived his entire life.

Earl married Jeanette Jensen on April 26, 1941. They were the first couple to be wed in the Raymond Congregational Church. Together they farmed the family homestead and were very actively involved with their children and grandchildren, their church, and their community. Earl also worked as a security guard at Allis Chalmers for 25 years.

Earl is survived by his loving children, David Jan Stephenson, Carol Wayne Beckman, and Donald Linda Stephenson. He adored his 8 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren who will deeply miss him. Amy Gary Beck and Nicholas; Kristen John Gendron, Jared, Kyle, and Kaleb; Lisa Krueger, Ben and Brianna; Stephanie Jeff James, Jacob, Jessica, and Julia; Jon Charlotte Stephenson and Vivian; Laura Steve Ball, Emily and Hailey; Kathy Jeff Ehrhart, Justin and Kevin; and Julie Mike Baker, Katie, Megan, and Bradley. Also surviving him are his sister Violet Schultz of Whitewater; his sister-in-law Marge Jensen of Oak Creek; his brother-in-law Earl Jensen of Burlington; his loving nieces and nephews and their families; his cousins and their families; his devoted care giver Walter; and many neighbors, friends, and his church family.

Earl was preceded in death by Jeanette, his loving wife of 63 years, with whom he has now been reunited in Heaven where they are dancing polkas with the angels. Also, by his parents and parents-in-law; his sister and brother-in-law Ruby and Robert Vyvyan Jr; his sister Gladys Jensen; his brother-in-law Clarence Schultz; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Louise Arnold Nelson; his brother-in-law Robert Jensen Jr; and aunts and uncles.

Services to celebrate Earl?s life will be conducted by Pastor Manda Stack at 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 9 at Raymond Community Church ? 8217 W. Highway G, Franksville. Visitation will precede the services from 4:00 ? 7:00 p.m. Interment will be Saturday, December 10 at 10:30 a.m. at West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel. In lieu of flowers and other memorials, the family would appreciate donations being made to the Raymond Community Church Memorial Fund.
