Knuth, Edward George,

Born October 20th, 1928 in Milwaukee, WI, the second child of Alice (nee Hackbarth) and Edward. Entered his Heavenly Rest on July 5th, 2018 in Milwaukee. Survived by daughter Cynthia (John) Briggs; son David (Paula) Martin; son Greg (Carla) Martin; son Jay (Paula); daughter Mary Kotowski; son Karl; 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Further survived by sisters Nancy Wargolet, Joyce Naffier, and Betty Baumann, brother-in-law Paul (Sandee) Block, sister-in-law Yvonne Block, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Ed became a widow when his first wife of 12 years, Phyllis (nee Kretlow) died in 1964. His second wife of 49 years, Jeanette (nee Block) died in 2016. Edward was a Milwaukee police officer for 35 years. Special thanks to Ed’s caregiver, Donka Petrova.

A Christian Victory service will be held at DIVINE PEACE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 3203 S. 76th St, Milwaukee, on Thursday, July 12th, with visitation beginning at 11AM, followed by the service at 1PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Divine Peace Lutheran Church or the Alzheimer’s Association appreciated.
