Edward Ignasiak, Jr.

Born to Eternal Life on December 25, 2024, at the age of 86. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 55 years Barbara (nee Raasch), his dear great-granddaughters Sophia and Penelope, and his brothers Leon and James. He was the loving father of Kim (James) Stewart and Kelly (Jeff) Eaton. The proud grandpa of Zachary (Jennifer), Taylor (Mark), Carley, Jake, Emily, and Connor. The fond brother of Karen and Kenneth. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Ed proudly served his country as a paratrooper in the Army. After returning to Milwaukee, he began his career at Falk Corporation as an apprentice in the gear cutting department. He worked his way up to Supervisor of that department before retiring after 42 years of loyal service.

Ed had many hobbies. He spent countless hours in a garage he built and converted into a wood worker’s paradise. He had an aptitude for creating and building. When he wasn’t in his workshop you could find him in his greenhouse, caring for the flowers he started from seed. Or you might find him in his vegetable garden in the back yard.

Ed put a lot of miles on the truck camper going on vacations out west, down south and everywhere in between. He was 80 when he hung up his apron as the cook at Deer Camp. He liked to go to the casino, and he was an avid sheepshead player! Ed followed the Packers and Brewers faithfully.

His life was rich with family and friends.
And he will be missed!

Kelly, Jeff, Kim, Jim and families,
We are sorry for the loss of your dad/grandpa. We were Ed and Barb’s neighbors for 30 years and they loved talking about their kids and grandkids with great love and pride. We were fortunate to hear many stories about their family, travels and adventures. It was our great pleasure to know Ed and Barb and they are both missed. We hope you find strength and comfort from each other and the many memories you share, of your times with your parents.
