July 30, 2009 age 66 yrs. Beloved son of the late Walter and Eleanor nee Toyek. Dear brother of Thomas and Martin Patricia Thekan. Uncle of Heather Thekan and Robyn Derek Goldie . Great uncle of Emily Goldie. Further survived by cousins, other relatives and friends. Ed loved his Lord and spent many hours of volunteer work in the inner city, tutoring , teaching at Saint Boniface School and helping at St. Vincent de Paul. He worked at Pabst Brewery for 30 years and 10 years at the Hire Center in Milwaukee. After he retired, He focused his efforts on his most important work, that of caring for our mother, Eleanor, until her death this spring. He belonged to St Francis Parish in Milwaukee. Visitation Thurs. Aug. 6th, 5-8 pm at the funeral home. Funeral Mass Fri. 9:30 am at ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI, 1927 N. 4th St. Please meet at church. In lieu of flowers Ed requested memorials to St. Francis Church , House of Peace , or the St. Vincent de Paul Meal Program .
