Passed away on September 27, 2015 at the age of 91. Eddie “Gary” was a proud World War II veteran and a member of the 314th bomb wing, 39th bomb group, 60th squadron. He was an active member of St. Mary Magdalen Parish for over 50 years and served at 7:30 mass into his 70’s.
Loving husband of the late Jean (nee Grimmer). Devoted father of Debbie (Bob) Polenska, and Kerry (the late Richard) Goepfert. Proud grandpa of Andy (Amber) Kamoske, Justin Polenska, and Anne Goepfert. Preceded in death by parents Robert and Jennie (nee Kantorski), and sisters Irene (Ray) Jaskulski and Ruth (Joe) Lando. Also survived by loving sisters-in-law Marion (the late Erv) Hufnagel and Elaine (Chuck) Deback. Further survived by many cherished nieces, nephews, and friends.
A visitation will be held at Heritage Funeral Home (16880 West National Ave) from 4-7pm on Thursday, October 1, 2015 with a prayer vigil at 7pm.
Visitation Friday, October 2, 2015 from 8-9am at St. Matthias Catholic Church (9306 W. Beloit Road). A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 9am.
Following the mass he will be interred at St. Adalbert’s Cemetery. He will be buried with full military honors.
