Robb, Edward Samuel Thomas “EROBB”
Passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 30, 2015, at the age of 64. Beloved husband of Karen (Nee: Boers-Strzelecki). Dear father of Shanna (Bob Burns) Larsen. Loving grandfather of Alexus Larsen. Preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Mary Robb. Brother of Carol (Robert) Johnson. Uncle of Mary Beth (Robert) Knippel and Mark Johnson. Great-uncle of Emily (Matt) Thurow and Tyler Knippel. Cousin of Valerie (David) Duffek, Tony Guinn, and Sarah Duffek. Son-in-law of LaVerne Boers. Brother-in-law of David Boers and Sharon (Dale) DeWitt. Further survived by many relatives in Northern Ireland and New Zealand.
Ed graduated from Racine Lutheran High School in 1968. He proudly served his country in the US Army from 1970-1976.
Ed was a member of Sheet Metal Workers Local #18 for more than 40 years starting as an apprentice in September 1974 and becoming a journeyman in 1979. Ed was a talented journeyman sheet metal worker who served as a member of the apprenticeship committee and helped teach the trade to many apprentices. Ed was proud of his trade and was never afraid to stand up and speak out for what was right. He also believed in his union and was on the bargaining committee helping to negotiate contracts. After retiring in February 2006 he stayed active in the sheet metal retirees club as the vice president.
He was a loyal friend to so many and will be missed by all.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the FUNERAL HOME from 4 PM until time of Tribute at 6 PM.
