Died peacefully on Monday, October 26, 2009, age 91 years. Beloved husband for 65 years of Mildred Emilie nee Knoll Meier. Dear father of Ann Marie Robert Sheehy, Diane Rev. Dan Strussenberg, Edwin Nancy, William Sharon and David Jill Meier. Grandfather of Rob Gloria Sheehy, Sarah Steve Grack, Joel and David Strussenberg, Joshua Kari, Stephanie, Brian and Greg Meier, Daniel Mary, Kelly and Erin Meier. Also survived by 9 great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Ida nee Holtz Meier, a sister Helene Emilie, and a brother Robert.
Visitation Monday, November 2, at Hales Corners Lutheran Church, 12300 W. Janesville Rd, from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM, followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Interment Good Hope Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Caring Angels, Allis Care Center, West Allis Memorial Hospital and Ruth Hospice for their fine care and support.
