Eleanor L.
Kurtz

Kurtz, Eleanor L.
With the Lord’s Prayer literally the last words she spoke, Eleanor entered peacefully into eternal life on April 17, 2004, to be joined with her beloved husband, John. Born in Milwaukee on June 30, 1913 to Charles and Frieda nee Manske Zautke, she was preceded in death by her husband John 1983, and her brother Herbert. She is survived by another brother, Kenneth Delores Zautke, her sister-in-law, Rose Zautke, her children, Carol Rev. Charles Weinrich and Ronald Kristine Kurtz, her grandchildren, Christopher Karen, Cynthia Dr. Thomas Martin, Craig fiancee Elizabeth, Carl Kathy Weinrich, Sean, Thomas, Nicole Kurtz, eight great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Eleanor deeply loved her husband, John. During their lives together they shared their talents–Dad as a gifted cabinet maker and wood worker, Mom was a wonderful cook and baker of tortes, especially cheese, Vienna and blitz tortes. They dearly loved their grandchildren and relished being a part of their lives. Their spirits could always be lifted by hearing stories of their latest adventures.

Eleanor and John’s children, Carol and Ronald, will always be grateful for their parents’ loving guidance and example for responsible, faithful living. They were long-time members of Layton Park Lutheran Church.

The family wishes to express gratitude to the marvelous staff and appreciation for Eleanor’s loyal friends in The Village at Manor Park, where she was a resident the last four years of her life.

Services will be held on Friday, April 23, at 7:00 PM at the Funeral Home, with visitation from 4:00-7:00 PM. Burial will be at Arlington Park Cemetery at 9:00 AM on Saturday, April 24.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to The Village at Manor Park will be appreciated.
