Kobbervig, Elizabeth “Betsy”
nee Birkholz of Racine, passed away quietly on Saturday January 12, 2008, age 66 years. Beloved wife of Harold. Dear daughter-in-law of Donald and Jerry Kobbervig. Sister-in-law of Janis Uselmann. Cousin of Alice Ron Day and Doris Buege. Preceded in death by Betsy’s parents Ervin and Leah nee Moyer Birkholz, her brother James and infant brother Lee. Further survived by other cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Service Wednesday evening 7:00PM at the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Donald Johnson officiating. Visitation will take place Wednesday at the funeral home from 4:00PM until the time of service 7:00PM.
Betsy was proud to have been a member of the American Association of University Women, the Caledonia Lioness Club, and the Beloit Masonic Star.
Betsy was a dedicated volunteer serving at the Wisconsin Eye Bank, Meals on Wheels and also helped many elderly friends. She received several awards for her service and spirit of volunteerism.
Betsy’s family wishes to thank the nursing staff of Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Medical Center in Racine for the special and loving care given to them during Betsy’s final days in this life.
