Born to eternal life, Saturday, January 13, 2007, age 94 years. Loving husband of Adeline Merten Nee Nacker. Dear father of JudithLouisCeman and JaniceDavidEngelhardt. Grandfather of AmyJeffVallis, JodiBillHirtz, John Engelhardt, SusanLevBaldwin, David Ceman and JamesJayneCeman. Great-grandfather of Autumn, Emily, Jacob, Grace, Noah and Kendra, Heather, Rett, Zoe, Calee and James. Great-great-grandfather of Jordan and Bailey. Also survived by other relatives and friends.
Funeral service Monday, January 15, at 7:00PM at the Funeral Home. Interment Good Hope Cemetery. Visitation Monday at the funeral home from 5:00PM until the time of service7:00PM.
Mr. Merten was a retired employee of Rexnord Corporation. He was a longtime active member of Gethsemane Ev. Lutheran Church, where he served on many boards and committees, and also served on various boards with the WELS.
