Nell, Elroy R. “Bud”
Saturday January 29, 2011 aged 86. Beloved husband of Mary Jane nee Barutha. Loving father of Carol Timothy Candek and Robert Nancy Nell of California. Dear grandpa of Jason Candek, Christopher Candek, Amy Adam Bullermann, Kelly Candek, Ryan Nell and Andrea Nell. Brother of the late Shirley Jack Hegelund, brother-in-law of the late Walter Sandra Barutha. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation Friday 10:30-12 Noon at ST GREGORY THE GREAT CHURCH. 60th and Oklahoma followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon. Entombment at St Adalbert Cemetery.
Bud served in the Navy on an aircraft carrier during WWII as a navy meteorologist. He graduated from UW as a civil engineer in 1950 which led to many lifelong friendships. Bud was the chief engineer at Wisconsin Wire and Steel for 43 years, a Registered Professional Engineer, Past President for 10 years of St. Vincent De Paul Society at St Greg’s, a member of Catholic Knights and Past President of St. Greg’s Holy Name Society.
Bud was very active for many years at St Greg’s so if desired memorials to St Gregory the Great Church or the American Cancer Society appreciated.
