After a 12 year battle with brain cancer, Erlinda C. Biboso (Nee Cepeda) died on her birthday Wednesday August 31 in the year 2016 at the age of 78 in her home in New Berlin, WI. She leaves behind her loving and devoted husband of 54 years, Dr. Romeo Biboso. Her children, Susan Biboso and her fiancé Chris Chard, Cynthia Biboso, Lisa (Eric) Mabbott and Eric (Alicia) Biboso. Her grandchildren Olivia and Lauren Mabbott and siblings Visitacion, Antonio and Lydia Cepeda. She is preceded In death by her parents Felino and Angela Cepeda, and siblings Dr. Francisco, Quintin, Jesusa, Ceferino Cepeda.
Born in the Philippines in 1938, she was the youngest of eight children in a large and loving family. She graduated in 1959 with a B.S. in nursing from the University of Santo Thomas in Manila where she met her husband. After graduation her career led her to the U.S. She initially worked at St. Luke’s Hospital in Saginaw, Michigan then Michael Reese Hospital and St. Anne’s Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. She married Romeo in 1961 and they eventually settled in Wisconsin where they raised their 4 children.
Expressing her love for the arts, music and performance she volunteered at both Milwaukee Art Museum and the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts.
To honor and celebrate her life a visitation will be held on Thursday September 8th at St. Mary Catholic Faith Community 9520 W. Forest Home Avenue, Hales Corners, WI from 10:00-11:45am. Followed by a funeral mass 12:00noon and inurnment at St. Mary Parish Columbarium following the mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be given to the Froedert Hospital Foundation’s Brain Tumor Research Fund in her name. The Biboso family would like to extend their utmost gratitude to Dr. Jennifer Connelly and Dr. Wade Mueller and all the staff at Froedert Hospital Cancer Center, Froedert Moorland Reserve and Heartland Hospice for standing by her in her battle.
In her true form, she fought with great strength and determination until the very end in order to end life on the day she entered it.
