Gene was one of my journeymen who taught me my trade in the graphic arts industry within the Milwaukee Journal Engraving Department. Gene was a true gentleman who inspired me to be the best person I could be. I have many memories working beside him during my beginning years at the Journal. Rest in peace, Gene.
