Reunited with his wife Geraldine in Heaven on July 1, 2011 at the age of 93. Father of Richard Kathy Karel, David Joyce Karel, and Kristine Vic Czarnecki. Grandfather of Stacey Jeff Tomoda, Jami John Becker, Scott Wendy Karel, Michael Christine Karel, Kimberly Creighton Petkovich, Christopher Abbey Karel, Allison Ryan Rathke, and Justin Czarnecki. Great-Grandfather of Taylor, Trevor, Teagan, Katelyn, Davis, Evan, Ethan, Caleb, Isabella, Dylan, Rianna, Henry, Connor, Harrison, Ayla, and Lucy. Brother of Sylvia DeMoulpied. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wed., July 6, from 10 ? 11 AM at the FUNERAL HOME. Funeral Service will follow at 11 AM. Interment at Arlington Park Cemetery.

Eugene was an active member of Oklahoma Avenue Lutheran Church and a 55 year member of the Operating Engineers Union Local 139. Memorials to Oklahoma Avenue Lutheran Church appreciated.
