Of Muskego. Called home to the Lord on Monday, December 1, 2008 age 69 years. Beloved husband of Susan nee Masar, Dear father of Lisa Dan Iding, Amy Matt Eckl, David Leslie Plautz, Michael Plautz, Jeffry Patty Walsh and Laura Eric Ried. Loving grandpa of Ben, Katie, Megan, Courtney, Jordan, Andrea, Nathan, Matthew, Reese and Jonathan. Brother of Donald Marilyn Plautz. Son in law of Anthony and Dorothy Masar. Brother in law of Michael Endel. Preceded in death by his parents Sylvester and Helen Plautz, 2 sisters Arlene Endel and Marilyn Thurnbauer, 1 brother Raymond Plautz and a granddaughter Rebecca Ried. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

Funeral Service Sunday, December 7, 2008, 3PM at HALES CORNERS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 12300 W. Janesville Rd. The Rev. Keith Johnson and Rev. Jim Thelen officiating. Interment Pinelawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation to be held Sunday at the church from 1PM until the time of service 3PM.

Gene was the owner operator of Gene Plautz Automotive where he worked for 40 years. Gene was an avid fisherman, hunter, golfer and loved to work in his yard. If so desired memorials to the Hales Corners Lutheran Church Foundation or to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society grealty appreciated.
