Welch
Welch, Eugene “Gene”, of Greenfield, Wisconsin. Passed into eternal life on December 3, 2020 age 80 years. Gene is survived by his wife, Ellen, the love of his life of 62 years, his daughters Lisa (Don) and Colleen (Mike), granddaughters Jessica, Stephanie (Mark), Katie (Gary), Maria and great granddaughter Laura. He is further survived by his sister Kay (Tom) and his nieces and nephews.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents, James and Alys, and brothers James, Alfred, and John.
Gene was known for his love of the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. With his brothers, brothers in law, and friends he enjoyed many hunting trips out west and fishing trips to Canada.
He served as a range master with the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Department and retired as a detective. Following retirement he enjoyed all that nature had to offer at his Northwoods cabin. There with his wife they made many happy memories.
Private funeral services were held due to COVID. A memorial service is to be held at a later date.
Ready to the left, ready to the right, ready on the firing line.
GONE FISHING.
Had a lot good times with Gene hunting, fishing and at family gatherings. He will be missed but my memories with him will never be forgotten. Rest In Peace my friend!!
A great person and mentor when I was assigned to MCSD-DEU. Always was available to assist. RIP.
I remember going to Canada with my dad and uncle eugene 17 hrs nonstop my dad was playing Ann Murray’s and patsy Kline tapes and uncle eugene said if he play them tapes one more time he was going to throw them out the window
