Nelson, Evelyn V.
nee Hanson Passed away Sunday, May 13, 2012 at the age of 93. She lived in the Town of Raymond most of her life. She was united in marriage with Raymond Nelson on June 12, 1943. She enjoyed being active in many things as a member of North Cape Lutheran Church. She taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, did quilting, baked, and helped at the functions put on by the women of the church.

She is survived by a son, Larry Sharon Nelson, daughter, Patricia Wayne Walczak, grandchildren, Scott and Todd Nelson, great-grandchildren Austin, Brock, Carissa, Avery, and Jayce, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond, brothers Erling, Carl, Harold, Clarence, and Roy Hanson, sisters Hedwig Ruff, Myrtle Higgins, and Geraldine Lehman.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2012, 4 PM at NORTH CAPE LUTHERAN CHURCH 2644 S. 124th St Hwy. 45 & W. Five Mile Rd.. Interment in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday at the church from 2 PM until the time of Service 4 PM.
