Evelyn Pallen

On November 25th, 2022, Evelyn A. Pallen, 95 years old, a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother of Fountain Hills, AZ, passed peacefully in her sleep, at the Canyon Winds Assisted Living Home, in Mesa, Arizona.
Evelyn was born in Wisconsin on June 29, 1927 to Joseph and Martha Burant. Evelyn was married to Henry Pallen, who passed in 2006. Evelyn had 3 brothers and 3 sisters and is survived by her sister Elsie Fliss. In her immediate family she is survived by her daughter Karen Kaye whose daughter is Sarah (Anthony) Arrigoni and their daughters Nora and Lydia, her son Scott (Christina) Kaye, their three children Lucy, Charlie, and Bentley, her son Gary (Sharon) Pallen and their two children Todd and Amy, and her son Larry (Jane). Evelyn’s son Ken Pallen passed in December of 2020. Ken’s daughter Lisa Pallen, has two daughters Sophia and Elle, daughter Laura Pallen, her daughter Kayla and her son Paxton who is the great great grandson, and her daughter Vanessa Pallen who has two children Nixon and Jet.
Evelyn’s passions in life were family, friends, crafts, gardening. She especially enjoyed visiting with friends and family and enjoyed building and decorating her homes throughout the years.  Evelyn grew up on the family farm in central Wisconsin and moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin as an adult. After marrying Henry “Elmer” in 1948 she worked at Allen Bradley in Milwaukee for over 35 years while raising her 4 children. When she retired she moved to a lake home which she and Elmer had built on Lake DuBay in central Wisconsin. She loved having visitors who could say as long as they wanted, swim, eat, fish, get a ride on her and Elmer’s pontoon boat, or ride her jet ski.  She would stay up all night and talk if her company wanted to. Evelyn spent the last 19 years in Arizona and loved the warm weather, the mountains, and being close to her daughter. She was a member of Ascension Catholic Church and attended mass each week without fail.  Evelyn was loved by many and was truly a loving person to everyone, and her grandchildren and greats gave her the sparkle in her eyes and biggest smiles!  She is greatly missed.
A memorial gathering will be held at the HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME (9200 S. 27th St, Oak Creek, WI) on May 6th from 10:00am until the time of service at 10:45am.
If so desired donations to a charity of your choice in honor of Evelyn are appreciated.
