Left his bed to go to with God on July 8, 2006, age 91 years. Preceded in death by the love of his life, LeOra nee Lyman. Father/Dad extraordinaire to Patricia Metz and Jacque Kainz. Grandpa to Jacki Steve, Eric Nicole, Gretchen and Heidi. Great-grandpa to Taylor and Benjamin. Brother of Eleanor Georgenson. Preceded in death by siblings John Metz, Rita Beilfuss, Marie Schulte and Catherine Hendler. Brother-in-law to Janice Tschanz. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Decorated veteran of WWII, proudly served with the 5th Division. Former volunteer fire-fighter with the City of Franklin, and retired farm superintendent from the Milwaukee County House of Corrections. He loved his work with the farm and particularly loved the holstein cows entrusted to his care. He treated every day as a gift. His generous personality and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation Wednesday 9:30-11AM at the Funeral Home with Funeral Service at 11AM. Interment Arlington Park Cemetery. Donations to the Hunger Task Force of Milwaukee appreciated.
