Born to Eternal Life on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at the age of 88 years. Loving husband of the late Shirley. Beloved father of Cathy (Wayne) Hollenstein and the late Robert. Devoted grandfather of Ryan (Gina) Walter and Traci (Chris Teren) Walter. Adoring great-grandfather of Madelyn and Alex Walter. Dear uncle of Tom Silver (Del) and father-in-law of Diane Walter. He is survived by other family and friends.

Fred was a dedicated employee of Badger Meter, Inc., worked as a real estate agent, and was a longtime resident of Greenfield, WI. He will be deeply missed by all of those whose lives were enriched by his warmth, humor, and generosity. Fred was a genuine everyday hero, a loyal, caring, and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He filled our lives with laughter and joy, and he was always there for all of us.

A private inurnment will take place at Arlington Cemetery in Milwaukee, WI, per Fred’s wishes.

Angels Grace Hospice for their kind and compassionate care in Fred’s final days.
