Gabriel Peter Jones was born in Madison WI. in September 1982. He was 39 years old.
He moved to Milwaukee at 2 months of age and lived here all of his life. Gabriel had the family laughing very early with his fun sense of humor and delightful mischief which he never lost, never missing a chance to tease or tell a joke. Gabe was passionately independent. As he grew he developed a sensitivity to the needs of others, including family, friends, and animals which he always loved. He was always willing to give anyone the shirt off his back or do a helping deed. Gabriel was an extremely intelligent informed reader, accrued a wealth of knowledge over the years, and could relate facts in almost any topic of conversation. He loved music and loved to dress up.
About a year ago, Gabriel began a struggle with two cancers which he fought courageously along with the help of an esteemed compassionate oncologist and a heroic team of professionals. As the cancer progressed, aggressively and with brutal pain, Gabriel struggled to keep his upbeat attitude and sense of humor., and he kept his faith in God until the end. May his memory be eternal!
Gabriel is survived by his parents: John and Eileen Jones; his sisters, Miriam and Nicole; his brothers, Aaron and Zachary; his nieces, Eloise and Taliya; and his nephew, Julien.
I only knew Gabe for a short time but he made a significant impact on me. Gabe’s sense of humor and optimism were especially inspiring. John, Eileen, and family, I join with you to celebrate his life.
