Gail S. Chetlain

(nee Johnson) Feb. 29, 2020, age 81 years. Mother of Marshall and Robert Chetlain. Sister of Gloria (the late William) Laemmel and Robert F. (Jody) Johnson. Aunt of Margaret (Mike) Laemmel-Sandoval, William (Amy) Laemmel, Bruce (Jennifer) Laemmel, Bart Laemmel, Eric (Patsy) Johnson, Joslyn (John) Sapp, and Sydney (Erik) Waisanen. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Robert S. and Catherine “Kay” Johnson.

Besides being a full-time mother to Marshall and Robert, Gail also worked as an insurance agent with Northwestern Mutual Life in Milwaukee and was eventually transferred to their North Carolina office. She decided she needed a change, and left NML to pursue a career as a real estate agent in North Carolina. Gail eventually decided to move back to Milwaukee and got a job at the offices of MGIC where she “wore many hats” and she was able to use her experience in real estate to help coordinate corporate real estate assessments. Later in life, Gail decided she needed another change and began working at Sendik’s in Whitefish Bay. During that time she also became an apartment manager, which she continued to do until her retirement.

Memorial gathering Saturday, August 1, 2020 at United Methodist Church of Whitefish Bay 819 E. Silver Spring Drive Whitefish Bay, WI 53217, from 10:00 AM until time of the Memorial Service at 11:00 AM.
