Beginning again, Rick was Born into Eternal Life on Thursday, February 27, 2025 age 88 years.  Beloved husband of Diana (nee Miller) for 69 1/2 years. Loving father of Michael (Laura), Wendy (Tom) Burke, Brian (Lori), Karen (Kent) Sommerfeld, Kevin (Denise) and Kim (Mark) Schimel, having been preceded in death by infant son Mark.  Proud grandpa of Crystal, Matthew, Tom “TJ”, Trevor, Tanner, Arielle, Aliea, Brittany, Donovan, Peter, Luke, Elisabeth, Micah, Nathanael, Nicole. Tiffany, Stephanie, Jordan and Caleb, having been preceded in death by grandson Austin. Further surviving are 21 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Family and friends will gather on Thursday, March 6 at the HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME, 16880 West National Avenue New Berlin, WI 53151 from 10 -11:45 am. A service in celebration of Rick’s life will follow at 12:00 Noon.

Rick’s love of God was steadfast. He enjoyed cruising, world travel, car racing, camping, skiing, the back 40, root beer floats but especially family time.
