Gene Gilman Loftus

Born to Eternal Life on July 13, 2015, at the age of 79. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilman and Sarah Loftus (nee Beaver) and his brother, Robert Loftus. He is the dear brother of Marian McKay and Richard (Mary) Loftus. Gene is further survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends.

Gene was born in Stoughton, WI where he was raised on a family farm. As a young man Gene’s hobbies included going to many midget car races with family. Gene’s Catholic faith was very important to him throughout his life and he faithfully attended Mass daily. He lived a simple life and he was willing to help others. Gene enjoyed the outdoors, going to the beach and sun tanning. He enjoyed western music and had a deep affection for the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay packers

Visitation for Gene Loftus will take place on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, 812 N. Jackson St. from 10:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment St. Ann Catholic Cemetery in Stoughton, WI.
