Kuhns, George R. Jr.
Born in 1926, passed away February 22, 2012, 17 days short of 86 years of age. Loving husband of Vivan M. Kuhns nee Gappa. George worked at Rexnord for 44 years, retiring as Maintenance Supervisor, working two jobs to support six children, never shirking his responsibility to family.
Loving father of David G. Kuhns Cathy, James F. Kuhns Joy, Kathleen McCormick Ries Hansen, Barbara Kuhns Bill Janny, Heidi Guzewski Fred, Christine Sessions, Brian Johnson Okhwan and Larry Johanson-Johnson. Also survived by 12 fun-loving grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents George R. Kuhns Sr. and Margaret Kuhns Nee Carmen, brother Tom Kuhns and grandson Anthony Raess, and survived by sister Carol Otto nee Kuhns.
Visitation Thursday, March 1st, 2012 from 4 to 7pm at THE FUNERAL HOME, concluded with a 6:30PM prayer vigil. Visitation continued on Friday March 2nd at ST GREGORY THE GREAT CATHOLIC CHURCH 3160 S. 60th St, from 9:30AM until the Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center appreciated.
