Sun. Oct. 13, 2002 at age 73 yrs. Beloved husband of Marie L. Berger nee Kapanke. Dear father of Beth Rev. Paul Schmeling, Joel Concepcion Berger, Paul Rebecca Berger, Julie Timothy Schwecke, Kathryn Dean Bord Berger and Timothy Kim Berger. Brother of Helen Ferdinand Schultz, the late Rev. James Joan Berger, Judith Bruce Bender and Rev. Frederic Ilene Berger. Also survived by 15 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral Service Wed. Oct. 16 at 7 PM at SALEM EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH 6840 N. 107th St. Interment Valhalla Memorial Park. In state Wed. at the church from 3 PM until 6:45 PM. Mr. Berger dedicated his life to Christian education. He was Principal and teacher at Salem Ev. Lutheran School for 31 years and served many years on the board of directors for Wisconsin Lutheran College, Wisconsin Lutheran High School and was active in the Principals Conference for Wisconsin Ev.
