Jerry passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on Dec. 23.
Beloved husband of the late Dawn. Dear Father of Doug (Terry), Mary (Rick) Grubanowitch, Kris (Rob) Kelm and Mike. Loving Grandfather of Geoff, Erin, Andrew, Curtis(Robin) Bea, Katie (Oscar) Perez, Dan(fiancé Megan) Kelm, Sara (Brayan) Beltran, Steven, Alex and Simone. Proud Great Grandfather of Faith, James, Jullian, Ava, Charlie; Jessa, Emma, and Christopher Bea; Taylor and Cooper Mcmurry, Madelyn Perez and Eva Beltran. Also survived by other relatives and friends.
As a young man, Jerry joined the Army and fought during the Korean War. Jerry was a fireman with the Wausau, WI Fire Department before moving his family to Milwaukee in 1959 to work as a security guard and later as a Manager at Allen Bradley where he worked until his retirement. He was an active member of the Kendall American Legion and Korean War Veterans Association. Most of all, he enjoyed watching and attending his children’s, grandchildren’s and great grand children’s activities. Jerry was a long-time member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church in Milwaukee.
Jerry is also survived by his sister JoAnne and was preceded in death by his brother Eugene.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday January 16th at St Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 3160 S. 63rd St. at 10. Cemetery burial and celebration of his life will be held in late spring/early summer. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be sent to Broadscope, Heart of the Nation, or St. Gregory the Great Parish.

I offer condolences to Jerry’s family on behalf of the Milwaukee Chapter of ASIS International and its Board. Jerry is remembered as a consummate security professional and leader of the chapter. He is remembered as our 1986 Board Chair and for serving on the executive committee in 1985 and 1984. Jerry also served in numerous appointed Board positions over the years.
