Bensene, Gerald T.
Passed away suddenly on Dec. 27, 2009 at the age of 73 in Monrovia, CA where he resided most of his adult life. Gerald graduated from West Milwaukee High School in 1954 where he played football and became Wisconsin State Heavyweight Wrestling Champion. He served in the US Army spending 4 years as a MP in Germany. He then graduated from UW-Madison in 1962. He tried movies and professional wrestling after heading to California. Retired from the CF Laurence Co. He is survived by his beloved sister Jean May Paul Cefalu. She is the last remaining sibling from the family of six children of John and Mary Bensene. He is also survived by 6 nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation Thurs. Jan. 7, 5-7pm with Funeral Mass at 7pm at ST. FLORIAN’S CHURCH, 1233 S. 45th St. Interment Sacred Heart Cemetery.
