Geraldine (Geri) Gawlik, 88 years old, passed away on December 11, 2024. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Arthur and Alice Kaminski. She was the sister of James Kaminski (deceased). Geri was the widow of Albin (Al) Gawlik and they shared 61 wonderful years together.

She owned her own interior design business for approximately 20 years. She then worked at Kwik Trip in Muskego until retiring at the age of 82. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Big Bend where she often volunteered to help with bingo. She enjoyed sewing, bowling, reading, playing cards, watching her grandchildren and spending time with her family especially on the trips to Northern Wisconsin. Geri and Al loved to take trips with family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Mike (Barb), daughter, Michelle Miller (Dan) and daughter, Monica as well as her grandchildren, Jenna Hannon (Mike), Leanna Madson (Kyle), Justin Gawlik (Bry), Tyler Gawlik (Mackenzie), Chelsea Schwertfeger (Tyler) and Nathan Miller (Grace).  She is also survived by seven great grandchildren (who were the light of her life) along with other family and friends.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 12:00 p.m., at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, S89 W22650 Milwaukee Avenue, Big Bend, WI 53103. The visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to the time of service.

 

Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the American Heart Association or St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

    Who among us would require more than a few seconds to remember a fun moment with Geri? Her always present smile lit up the room, and her contagious enthusiasm for everything she did made being with her a special time. She was truly a one-of=a-kind that could never be replaced but will always be fondly remembered..
