Karel, Geraldine R. “Gerry”

nee Haugsted Sun. Dec. 13, 2009 age 90 yrs. Beloved wife of Eugene having shared 67 years of marriage on Saturday. Loving mother of Richard Kathy Karel, David Joyce Karel and Kristine Vic Czarnecki. Proud grandmother of Stacy Jeff Tomoda, Jami John Becker, Scott Wendy Karel, Michael Christine Karel, Kimberly Creighton Petkovich, Christopher Abbey Karel, Allison Ryan Rathke and Justin Czarnecki. Great-grandmother of Katelyn, Davis, Evan, Rianna, Henry, and a “new arrival” in January, Taylor, Trevor, Teagan, Ethan, Caleb, Isabella, Dylan, Ayla, Lucy and Connor. Further survived by other relatives and friends.

Visitation Tues. Dec. 15, 2009 at the funeral home from 10-11:00 am with complete Funeral Services at 11:00 am. Private interment Arlington Park Cemetery. It is only fitting that the celebration of mom’s life be on a Tuesday, it was her favorite day.

Gerry was a member of Wilson Park Senior Center and active member at Oklahoma Avenue Lutheran Church. Special Thanks to all the caregivers at Tudors Oaks for their loving care. Memorials to Oklahoma Avenue Lutheran Church appreciated.
