Germaine M. Burlington

Burlington, Germaine M. Nee Kauss Passed away October 19, 2008, at the age of 83 years. Loving Mother, Grandmother and Sister. She was born as Germaine Kauss in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She is survived by her children Jackie Anderson, James Burlington, and Robert Burlington, and her grandchildren Samantha, Kelsey, Kent, Austin, and Brett. She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy and during World War II was a volunteer with the USO. Germaine held several positions at the VA and was the first woman Assistant Administrator before retiring after 40 years of service. Germaine was also active for many years in the “Woods Players” where she played the lead role in several productions. A service will be held at Heritage Funeral Home 4800 South 84th Street at 4PM on Wednesday. A visitation will be held from 3PM until time of service. Inurnment at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
