Tess, Gilbert W. age 86yrs
Of Lake Beulah found peace Friday July 6, 2001 at Waukesha Memoral Hospital. Born July 23, 1914 to in Rochester, WI. to Parents William and Alice Tess. Gilbert is a Graduate of East Troy HS. class of 1934. On June 24, 1944 Gilbert Married his bride Leila B. Haacke in Milwaukee and has been a resident of Lake Beulah for the last 57yrs.
Gilbert was a Foreman for Wisconsin Electric for 35yrs, a Longtime member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, the Lake Beulah Yaucht Club, Semi- Proffesional Baseball of the Southern League of the Land of Lakes, the Baseball Hall of Fame, the Old Time Players Association of Wisconsin and a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, East Troy.
Gilbert is survived by:Wife Leila nee Haacke, Daughters Sharon Alan Grinnell, Patricia MichaelCropp, Grand Children Michelle Croppfiance Jon DuJardin, Patrick Cropp, Joshua Grinnell,and Andrew Grinnell
and one Great Grand child Ian Newton. Nephews Allan Haacke, Kenneth Haacke other relatives and Friends. Gilbert is preceded in death by one grandson Mathew Grinnell.
Gilbert was a avid hunter, Fisherman, he also enjoyed golfing, bowling and watching baseball and football. He loved to dance to the sound of Big Band. He was known by his family and friends for his famous fish boils, corn roasts, picnics, story telling and beer on tap.
A Memorial service will be held Monday July 9 at 11 AM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church 1936 Emery St. East Troy In Lieu of Flowers memorials to the family appreciated.
