Ginny West

Born to Eternal Life August 14, 2024, age 73 years.  Beloved wife and best friend of William for 41 years.  Cherished mother of Christina (Juan) Encino and Mary (Nick) Keith.  Proud grandmother of Brendon (Savanna) Monte-West, Daniel (Yoselin) West, Amanda West, and Wyatt Keith.  Great-grandma-to-be of Aubree Rose.  Loving sister of Lynn (Keith) Bresnan, Toni (Pat) Minneo and the late Manny (the late Sandy) LaGreca.  Dear aunt of Wendy (Tony) Zelanti, Carrie Bresnan, Erin (Mike) Mastrella, Holly (Mike) Minneo, and Ryan Minneo.  Fond great-aunt of Luca Zelanti, Matthew and Leah Mastrella.  Further survived by other relatives and many good friends.

Ginny worked at Brentwood Animal Hospital in Oak Creek for over 20 years; her smile as she greeted people coming into the clinic will be greatly missed by both clients and co-workers. Ginny was known for her directness – you never had to wonder where you stood with her or what she thought.  It was her family that brought Ginny the most joy throughout the years.  Whatever the occasion, she would go out of her way to make it something special – even cooking the family Sicilian specialties although cooking wasn’t her favorite thing to do.  Ginny lived her life with love, thoughtfulness, and self-sacrifice – her example will be forever remembered by both family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Heritage Funeral Home, 9200 S. 27th Street in Oak Creek on Friday, August 23, 2024 from 10:00 AM until the time of Funeral Service at 12:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, if desired, memorials to MADACC (Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission) are greatly appreciated. To donate online, go to: MADACC DONATE  Please note that your gift is in memory of Ginny West.

Our sympathy and prayers go out to Ginny’s husband William, her children and the rest of her family as well as her “extended family” at Brentwood. We’ve known Ginny for many years as clients of Brentwood. She was always very kind to our dogs and to us, always asking how we were doing in addition to taking time to pet and greet our dogs upon arrival. She was especially compassionate when we talked about animal rescue, when our senior dogs were sick and when we had to make difficult decisions. Heaven has gained another angel. God bless your soul Ginny. We will miss you but we were blessed to have known you and we are grateful for your friendship.

My sincerest condolences to Ginny’s family and friends. I work with Christina, and she would often talk about the wonderful person she was. My prayers are with your family, may God comfort you all during this difficult time.

So glad we got to know Ginny (and Bill) thru our daughter in law Mary. Ginny was a wonderful example of a caring and loving Mother and grandmother, She will be missed by many. When she entered heaven I’m sure she heard–“well done my good and faithful servant”.

Ginny knew how to light up a room and ensure the moment you walked into Brentwood Animal Hospital, you felt welcome. Her smile warmed your heart and let you know she had something on her mind. I cannot imagine walking into the hospital and not see Ginny. Grateful to have know her and so very sad for her amazing family who will need to carry on without her. She spoke often of her family and great love for her husband. May angels walk with you during these tough times…and know she is beside you ALWAYS.

To say Ginny was the best is an understatement. I enjoyed working with her for many years and will always remember our laughs together. She always said we had the same sick sense of humor. To Bill and all the family I can’t imagine your pain. Ginny you always brought me a sense of peace and never thought of yourself. I will miss you my friend. May God shine his light upon you.

I am shocked to hear of Ginny’s passing. We would talk and laugh together so often over the many years I have known her. She was so kind and compassionate when you just needed a hug. I will miss you so much on my future visits to Brentwood. Heaven has received an Angel.
