Guillermina Munoz

Guillermina Muñoz (Arroyo Vela), age 65, passed away in the arms of her beloved husband, on July 1st, 2017. She was born on September 9th, 1951 in Pénjamo, Guanajuato, México to Domingo Arroyo Magdaleno and Esther Vela Pérez. Guillermina lived her school and teen years in Pénjamo before meeting her husband José Pio Muñoz and marrying on July 5th, 1971. A few years after their wedding, Guillermina and José traveled to Milwaukee, Wisconsin to build a good life for their four children. They raised their children on the south side of Milwaukee and were long time parishioners at St. Patrick’s Church.

Guillermina was a devoted wife and mother who loved cooking, caring for her dogs and birds, gardening and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, José; son Mario (Catherine) Muñoz; daughter Veronica (Billy) Nickel; son José Muñoz; and son Juan (Lorena) Muñoz. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren: Dani Muñoz, Richard Howard, Marcelo Muñoz, Mónica Muñoz, Sofia Muñoz, Izabel Muñoz, and Liana Nickel; and one great-grandchild: Skylar Howard.

A private memorial service will be held at Heritage Funeral Home, 4800 S. 84th Street, Greenfield, WI 53228.
