Harold F. Pauers.
Of Rockford, IL, formerly of Oak Creek, WI. Passed away May 28, 2022 at the age of 96. Loving husband of Bernice (nee Danek). Beloved father of Barbara (Terry) Bridgewater. Dear grandfather of Cindy (Anthony) Mennella and Nancy Bridgewater. Caring great-grandfather of Avanna and August and step-great-grandfather of Vince and Alyssa. Preceded in death by his parents August and Lilly Pauers and his brother Arnold Pauers. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, from 10 AM – 11 AM, at the funeral home. Funeral Service to follow at 11 AM. Interment at Oakwood Rest Cemetery.
Proud member of Zion Lutheran Church. Retired employee of Bucyrus Erie. Memorials are appreciated to Zion Lutheran Church. Harold enjoyed being with his family, playing his concertina, gardening, growing apples, bowling, fishing, traveling, and watch baseball and football.

Always loved my bike rides with grandpa and lots of games of war. He was very dedicated to his family and church I am forever grateful to have and share all memories of him. In his last days will never forget that bright smile I got when I walked into their home. He is loved and will be forever loved in my heart. God has a good angel now in his beautiful home of heaven.
Grandpa was my best friend growing up. He was always interested in everything I did and always shared all the exciting trips/photos and knowledge he was picking up each time we had a visit. For many years he had his video camera out at all our gatherings little did I know at the time how valuable those would be present date. Grandpa played a mean concertina and even was gifted the concertina owned by the infamous “concertina Millie’” (google it). When I think of Harold my smile gets big and my heart is full. I miss him so much already!

I have been doing research into the Pauers’ family ancestry, and would like to be in touch with anyone in Harold’s family who may provide information or photos into our shared history. Again, my sincere condolences to your family. I trust Harold lived a full life, surrounded by those who loved him. (My dad passed in 2010 at the age of 87. My mother, Dorris Pauers, passed last August at the age of 99.)
