Dec. 14, 2009 age 96 yrs. Preceded in death by his beloved wife Helen. Loving father of Pam Howard Berry, Paulette Sheldon Strom and Patrise John Selkey. Dear grandfather of Mike Jenn Berry, Steve Stacy Berry, Christopher Kerry Strom, Peter Strom, Brad Klemz and Colin Klemz. Great-grandfather of Ally and Brooks Berry, Eleanor and Audrey Strom. Brother of Gene Liz Hardy. Brother-in-law of Irene Kisch. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation Mon. Dec. 28th, 9-10:45am with Funeral Mass at 11am at St Martin of Tours, 7963 S. 116th St. Entombment St. Adalbert’s. Harold loved spending time with his grandchildren and will be remembered for his love of nature he was a deer hunter into his 80s, his enjoyment of sporting events and quick wit. His no-nonsense dealings with the squirrels at his 26th St. home are legendary. Harold was a member of the carpenter’s union as well as the secretary of the machinist’s union for Evinrude Motors, where he worked until he was 71. Thanks to his SPECIAL caregivers at Clement Manor. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation JDRF appreciated.
