Harriet A. Snell

Nee Schwarz of Greendale. Born to eternal life on May 13, 2010 at the age of 86 years. Beloved wife of the late William Snell for 56 years. Loving mother of the late Leonard Karen Kilchenmann and survived by Barbara Gary Troy and Dr. Mary Snell.
Grandmother of Dr. Benjamin Kimberlyn Troy, Jennifer Jeremy Schultz, Amy Snell, Jonathan Troy, Megan Jacob Croal, and Jillian Walker. Great grandmother of Braedon Troy, Jacob Schultz, Jessalyn Troy.

Funeral service Wednesday May 19th 6:00 pm at ST. JOHN S EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 4001 S. 68th St. Interment St. John s Cemetery. Visitation at the church on Wednesday from 4:30 pm until the time of the service 6:00 pm.

Harriet lived her entire life in the Milwaukee area. After graduating as the valedictorian from Rufus King High School, she worked at various secretarial jobs including the city of Milwaukee where she met her husband, Bill. They were married in 1950 and had 3 children. She devoted her life to raising a Christian family. We will deeply miss her warm smile, welcoming ways, and Sundays at her home.
The last few years of her life were difficult for her as she contended with Alzheimer s, Parkinson s and Osteoporosis. We celebrate the fact that Harriet is now free from pain and with our Heavenly Father.
If desired, memorials may be given to Wisconsin Lutheran High School-Share the Mission or to the Alzheimer s Association. A special thanks to Ruth Hospice on Beloit Road for the loving way they cared for Mom in her final days.
