HELEN RUNGE
age 86 yrs, of Honey Creek, died April 15, 2001 at her home on the farm in Honey Creek, WI.
Helen Fischer Runge was born October 6, 1914 to Samuel and Regina Miller Fischer in Chicago, IL. She married Clarence B. Runge January 6, 1934. Following marriage the lived in Des Plaines adn Bensenville, Illinois untill 1955 when they bought the Livestock farm in Honey Creek and farmed for 27yrs. Helen Lived there until her death.
Helen was a good and loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She is survived by three daughters Shirley Mae Roland Juhala of Lake Sherwood, MO, Mary Lou Richard Holton of Crossville, TN, and Jane Ann Hagen of Midland, TX; 10 Grandchildren Jeffrey, Jon, Tamara, Edward, Cindy, Steven, Curtin, Beth, Charles and Karin. Ten Great Grandchildren Josh, Brittney, Tyler, Grace, Kaitlin, Julie, James, Megan, Gillian and Rhys. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers Sam, Alex and Adam, and sisters Sophia and Catherine.
Helen was a member of Community Baptist Church, Honey Creek. She belonged to the East Troy Sun Dial Garden Club. She was a 4-H Leader for at least 10 years, a member of Extension Homemakers and served as County Chairman of that organization. She was known for her corn husk dolls and nature crafts and was in charge of the flowers at the Walworth County Fair for many years. During the early years of her retirement she was a member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program RSVP
Visitation will be Wed. April 18, 2001 from 4-8 PM at HERITAGE FUNERAL HOMES, EAST TROY. and from 10 AM until the time of service 10:30 AM Thursday April 19, 2001 at COMMUNITY BAPTIST CHURCH, in Honey Creek. Internment German Settlement Cemetery to follow.
