Of Greendale, age 89 years. Welcomed into Heaven on Tuesday, April 10, 2012. Beloved husband of June nee Reif. Dear father of Ruth Robbins, Claudia Drews, Paul Drews, David Roberta Drews, James Carolina Drews, Lois Martin Zimmer, Bethany Bahram Javidi and Jonathan Karen Drews. Loving grandfather of Adam, Gabriel, Elsbeth, Rebecca Evan, Peter, Andrew, Paul, Jennifer Nolan, Sarah, Joshua, Ariana, Darius, Vida, Nathan and Eric. Great-grandfather of Addison and Mark. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service Saturday, April 14th 2012 at 10AM at OUR SHEPHERD LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5901 Westway, in Greendale. Interment to follow at Good Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday at the funeral home from 4-7PM and Saturday at the church from 9AM until the time of service 10AM.
Hilbert was owner and founder of the Drews Variety Store chain, was very active in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod Missions and Stewardship, and was a long time active member of Our Shepherd Lutheran Church.
