Passed away Friday November 8, 2002. Born on April 10, 1911 along with her twin brother John, to John and IdaNee HeiseKurtz. Preceded in death by her brothers, LesterViola, Wilber and John, her sisters FlorenceWilliamHerbst, Mabel Kurtz and HattieWilliamDickinson, and her nieces Janyce Kurtz and Betty Krejci. Ida was a long time employee of Allis Chalmers and a member of Layton Park Lutheran Church. Aunt Ida is survived by her sister-in-law Eleanor Kurtz and her nieces and nephews GraceWilliamMerritt, HaroldRitaKurtz, NormanKathrynHerbst, WilliamKarenDickinson, CarolRev. CharlesWeinrich and RonaldKristineKurtz. She was especially fond of her grandnieces and nephews and their children. The family wishes to express gratitude to the wonderful staff and appreciation for her loyal friends at the Village at Manor Park where she was a resident the last four years of her life. To celebrate Aunt Ida’s life, please join her family for a Memorial Service on Saturday, November 16, at 1:30PM in Palmer Chapel at the Village at Manor Park, 3023 S. 84th St. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given in Aunt Ida’s name to the Village at Manor Park.
